Executive Job Description | Senior Project Manager, Civil / Assistant General Manager

The position involves all aspects of project management for small to large-sized earthworks, levees, embankment revetment systems, and damns projects. Position entails oversight of multiple projects- a Field supervisor – a leader – a mentor- ‘seasoned’ - reporting to the general manager.
Duties may include: proposals, planning, studies, budgeting, client relations, financial management, technical management, coordination of multi-discipline engineering efforts, quality control, and quality assurance, estimating, subcontract management and contract administration, and contract and claims management. The role will involve close coordination with technical staff to ensure high quality deliverables and consistent project delivery to clients. Responsibilities of this position include the following:
1. Serve as the project manager for water resource, levee, embankment revetment and dam projects for clients.
2. Understand and possess ability to communicate water resource, levee and dam design concepts, and process concepts to other staff and clients.
Requires professional management, knowledge and skills with the ability to train and lead a workforce, excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Position requires working knowledge of surveying, GPS machine control systems, proficient in reading plans and specifications. Extensive knowledge of earthwork in marine, and land applications with an understanding of soils and their characteristics, embankment revetment systems and complex earthwork, project/program management, for water resource, levee and dams project work.
Extensive background check necessary
Requires a BS degree in civil engineering or construction management, + 15 years professional experience or MS in civil engineering/construction management + 10 years of experience. Professional Engineer certification preferred. Experience with civil design related work for federal, state and local agencies. Army Corps of Engineering a plus.
