Ensure that
Policies and Processes are followed regarding the procurement of IT Hardware, Software, Maintenance Agreements, and Professional Services and in the execution of contracts, Work with the IT senior leadership team to:
o Establish an overall Governance Process and Procurement Strategy for US and Europe
o Support major IT Projects and Deals in both the Americas and Europe.
o Establish a Governance Planning Process
This position requires a deep understanding of IT sourcing, the management of vendor relationships, and the negotiations of vendor contracts.
Recommends and establishes the IT procurement strategy, processes, and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy, IT project requirements and sound commercial, legal and ethical practices. Responsible for the systematic execution of processes and procedures for the timely and cost effective purchasing of IT products and services.
Major Characteristics:
Work with SVP of IT Finance and Vendor & Contract Management and the President to develop and implement the IT sourcing and vendor relationship strategies. Manage the selection, acquisition and monitoring of contractual agreements for hardware, software and IT services for the enterprise. Work closely with the business and IT to understand their needs and serves as the IT point of contact for major purchases and problems with products and services. Articulates and negotiates service level agreements.
Participates in the budget process, such as annual budget planning.
Continually seeks optimal value in service from vendors, reviewing
and monitoring performance and initiating contract modifications.
Major Characteristics:
– Functions as a key liaison between the IT Team (both in America and Europe) and vendors to assist legal review process. This includes:
o The review and completion of; NDAs, SOWs, MSAs and Lease Agreements.
o Helps to prepare various contracts upon receiving request from legal Dept and from IT managers.
Requirements Keen ability to work with a diverse cultural organization
= Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
¬ Extremely strong background and knowledge of contract and vendor management.
Strong technology background.
¬ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
¬ Strong ability to deal diplomatically with a unique and diverse personalities
¬ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 7 to 10 years of experience including managing team(s)
responsible for vendor relationship management, contract negotiation, contract administration, project or asset management in a technology environment.
