VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING

Our client is a leader in the provision of Custody and technology services for the financial services industry. With over $10B in assets under management, the firm works closely with the RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) community and large institutional banks, brokerage and trusts. Over the past 4 years, the firm has tripled its asset base and is poised to grow significantly over the next 5 years.

Headquartered in Denver, CO the firm employs more than 200 people across the United States.

THE POSITION:

In this position, based in the firm’s corporate headquarters, you will be a primary architect of all marketing strategy and programs. The Vice President of Marketing provides leadership and coordination for all marketing functions of the company, including brand management, product marketing, lead generation, marketing communications, and marketing services. Your ability to gather and analyze market and competitive data and present your findings to executive management will play a significant role in defining the firm’s overall operational strategy. While you will be responsible for directing a team of professionals, you will also be a hands-on contributor.

-- Positioning and messaging
-- Integrated marketing strategies
-- Website development
-- Direct mail programs
-- Advertising
-- Public relations
-- Event management
-- Marketing materials development
-- Training materials
-- Company communications
-- Print services

As a member of the leadership team, the Vice President is a key executive involved in the evaluation and decision making process of all activities and programs of the company. The Vice President is responsible for day-to-day supervision of employees and carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

More specifically, you will:

-- Analyze the Company’s competitive environment, market segments, and target clients.
-- Work closely with the CIO, sales, and key stakeholders to develop the vision for the firm’s products and services.
-- Work closely with product management and key stakeholders to define key selling propositions, to create reference documents, and to implement product launch plans.
-- Work closely with sales to develop our go-to-market strategy including segmenting target markets and identifying our target clients.
-- Generate leads and build the firm's brand by developing and implementing comprehensive integrated marketing programs.
-- Develop and manage content and flow of all outbound communications.
-- Maintain steady press coverage and relationships with PR firms and key media organizations.
-- Drive the Company’s state-of-the-art technology status through speakers’ initiatives, whitepaper development, case studies, etc.
-- Organize and implement support services for sales and client services.
-- Deliver all company external printing needs.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate must have the proven ability to manage a professional team toward common goals and have the ability to collaborate closely with other departments. You must also possess:

-- Bachelor’s degree with a MBA preferred.
-- 5 years or more experience in product marketing and marketing communications.
-- At least 2 years’ experience managing others.
-- Proven track record of developing and managing successful marketing campaigns.
-- Recent experience in financial services with specific knowledge of the Registered Investment Advisor niche market preferred.
-- Pluses include: knowledge of brokerage, financial advisors, branding, media coverage, as well as a strong grasp of the web and SEO.
