Executive Job Description | Our NYC client, a luxury online retailer, is looking for an experienced VP/Head of Ecommerce Marketing in New York City. Our client also operates internationally, with offices in Zurich, Antwerp and Hong Kong. We are looking for a candidate to oversee and coordinate all of our marketing efforts across various businesses, with a particular emphasis on our direct to consumer websites.
The marketing head will direct all the online and offline marketing efforts, including the hiring of marketing team members (marketing managers, web designer, analyst, etc) as well as overseeing any outside marketing agencies and relationships. The Candidate will be responsible for driving qualified traffic to the websites and converting website visitors into buyers. The candidate will be responsible for developing a strategic marketing plan and for executing the plan to achieve the companys revenue goals and objectives.
This position will have a fair amount of visibility, and requires a candidate with well rounded background in traditional marketing and some solid experience in the b2c e-commerce arena. Knowledge of e-commerce technology and sophisticated analytics are very important.
Responsibilities: Drive qualified visitors to our websites and utilize best practices to consistently increase and improve our key metrics (conversion and order size) Hire and manage marketing personnel to support all marketing roles Oversee online and offline marketing budget for B2C websites as well as trade marketing for our B2B segments o Search Engine Marketing (paid and organic) o Comparison Shopping Engines o Online display advertising and sponsorships o Affiliate Program o Opt-in email campaigns o Re-marketing email campaigns o Print and direct marketing campaigns Develop and implement marketing plan and strategies Review and select agencies/vendors or other 3rd party marketing services Work with technology team to make sure we are always implementing key features and functionality Work with merchandising teams to create promotional campaigns and promote correct products Implement and oversee analytics and KPIs Make sure analytic data is used and acted upon to improve key metrics Oversee all customer facing communications and brand experience
Qualifications: Minimum 15 years overall marketing experience Minimum 5 years experience with online marketing (PPC, CSE, Display, Portals & Sponsorships, SEO) Must have a college degree (MBA preferred) Very knowledgeable of internet marketing and trends Solid understanding of underlying e-commerce technologies Must demonstrate both creativity and strong analytical skills in an ever-changing environment. Ability to coach and develop senior leaders. Experience in Direct Marketing of consumer products (luxury brands preferred) International experience would be a plus Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, oral/written communication skills required Must be a self-starter with the ability to implement initiatives with minimum supervision
Compensation: Salary in the $170,000 to $200,000 range commensurate with education and experience. Annual bonus opportunity and full benefits package offered in an environment that encourages professional growth and independent thinking.
