Executive Job Description | Publicly listed global industrial manufacturing company seeks a dynamic Vice President, Marketing & Sales for one of its subsidiary companies with sales in the $50MM+ range. The company is currently experiencing rapid growth and profitability both domestically and internationally. Additionally, the subsidiary is actively involved in identifying and pursuing acquisition candidates. The Vice President Marketing & Sales will report directly to the President of the company and will be a senior member of his management team.
Qualified candidates must have a four year college degree in business/marketing or engineering, with an MBA preferred. Candidates must have 15 to 20 years of Marketing and Sales experience in an industrial manufacturing company, with exposure to the metals industry helpful. They must now currently be employed in a global leadership marketing position. Marketing experience must include the development of corporate marketing strategy including industrial branding, new product development, establishment of new product platforms, as well as product line extensions and new opportunities for existing brands. The successful candidate should also have experience in the identification of possible acquisition targets. From a sales perspective, candidates must understand today’s progress with Solutions Selling techniques for both inside and outside sales and create a project plan that will further indoctrinate Solution Selling into the organization. He/she must be familiar with the utilization of CRM and suggest ways to further the value gained from this tool. He/She must have clearly demonstrated ability to build and lead a strong and cohesive global marketing organization which has demonstrated real success in delivering or exceeding goals.
In addition, the successful candidate will have in his/her past work history shown potential to have a runway which will lead to a General Management assignment. This will include a work history which has shown promotions within each company worked for, and a clear history of building a strong marketing organization where direct reports have been promoted.
