Executive Job Description | VP of Marketing- Life Sciences
Location: Princeton, NJ
My client is a global leader providing enterprise software and services into the Life Sciences industry. They are a best of breed/niche player in the service offering and software products that sell into pharma/biotech. This is a large stable organization that’s experiencing growth and looking for a key executive to take them to the next level (50+m).

DESCRIPTION:
• Managing all marketing activities around new product development including defining new market opportunities, customer applications, and product features and functions • Manage all marketing activities associated with new product introductions including pricing, development of collateral material, writing and distributing press releases, liaising with industry editors and analysts, writing and editing articles, and implementing lead generation strategies • Develop and execute a marketing plan for each division ensuring that effective tools and collateral are in place and scalable • Responsible for all strategic communication (both internal and external), competitive positioning and differentiation, new product launches, and value proposition to the market • Drive the development and implementation of marketing strategies • Help build sales through market research, enhanced customer relationships and lead generation from events and marketing programs • Provide support in the development and execution of a focused partnership strategy • Work with advertising and lead generation strategies, facilitating the creation of web and brochure content, and producing regular customer and industry communications including newsletters, surveys, and product announcements • Drive a focused marketing budget, providing a clear ROI to each business and enhancing the Leadership Team’s insight into effective marketing • Demonstrate the strategic thinking, leadership, and performance that leads to a place on the leadership team • Write and edit sales collateral, web pages, white papers, and articles as called for with the P.R. firm or with internal stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 10 years marketing experience including product marketing • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or other related field • Minimum of 5 years at the senior management or executive level in a company of medium or large size • A service marketing background, preferably with experience in life sciences or technology so as to ensure a short ramp-up period to productivity • Experience that demonstrates clear decision-making, self-actuated results, outcomes, gains for previous employers without reliance on extensive staff or a large budget • Excellent communication skills, internally and externally, across media types • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills • High energy to manage the expectations and ongoing marketing needs of two diverse businesses
COMPENSATION: 120-150K Base Salary + bonus Excellent Benefits…etc.
