Executive Job Description | Job Purpose: The Senior Planner is responsible for raising the organization’s level of strategic discipline, enhancing account and creative teams’ performance in brand stewardship.
Accountabilities*: 1. Facilitate the agency’s strategic planning efforts with respect to insight into the drug science, focused on the compounds, disease-states, and clinical and scientific understanding, to ensure that MarketMoving creative ideas and tactics are developed and delivered to our clients.
2. Work with internal account and creative managers by participating in the development of brand positioning, strategic plans and key creative briefs from a scientific standpoint to ensure that we deliver accurate MarketMoving creative ideas and tactics which meet and exceed client expectations.
3. Provide counsel to clients and the internal agency team on client’s scientific research needs and their strategic/creative implications, to build a foundation for strategic insight which is central to the development of MarketMovingIdeasTM.
4. Ensure all clinical and scientific data relevant to the brand’s communications planning are properly analyzed, presented and brought to bear on development of communications strategy, to provide strategic insight and make relevant recommendations towards the development of MarketMovingIdeasTM
5. Participate in the development of new business pitches by managing the exploration of scientific and clinical data and play a key role in developing pitch presentations to generate new business and contribute to the long-term financial health of the agency.
Position Requirements: • Expertise in cardiovascular and/or diabetes. Must have advanced degree, PhD, MD, Do, PharmD. • 3+ years prior work experience within a pharmaceutical environment, ideally including a role related to marketing/communications. • A strong team orientation. • Previously-demonstrated ability to think strategically. • Intuitive about people, brands and advertising/communication. • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
