Our client, one of the fastest-growing companies in Houston, currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced company as the Sr. Director- Interactive Marketing. This person would focus on expanding our core competency in consumer direct marketing, while providing leadership, strategy, execution and analysis for the clients search marketing activities. The Sr. Director- Interactive Marketing will drive key acquisition strategies and objectives, ensuring cost effective new customer acquisition through paid search engine advertising programs.
The Senior Director- Search Marketing is a high profile role reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This role will work closely with product management, internal analytics team, search engine account management teams and call center management to implement paid and organic search engine marketing initiatives that deliver against company business metrics. He/she will collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer and search providers to formulate and implement paid search strategies and best practices.
Responsibilities Oversee organic search related content and site design strategies to ensure top rankings across key categories Oversee paid search strategy and implementation of best practices. Actively manage a significant search budget across key search providers. Monitor performance of paid search and organic results on a daily basis and work with analytics and finance teams to reach target metrics and monthly budgets. Implement campaigns to actively test and analyze keywords, advertising copy, landing pages and positioning to increase ROI, margin dollars and visitor volume across multiple sites. Develop site content, linking, and Actively test and implement specific bidding strategies for all paid search buys. Analyze performance data to develop campaign performance optimization recommendations. Effectively manage search budgets for multiple campaigns. Continually leverage new tools & industry best practices to ensure compnay is on the cutting edge in search marketing strategy. Stay abreast of new developments and opportunities in the SEM / SEO space and incorporate into ongoing campaign optimization. Gather industry research, competitive landscape information, and trade intelligence for SEM strategy development and optimization. Serve as strategic contact for, and foster relationships with search engine vendors (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.).
Requirements Bachelors in Marketing, Statistics, or related field 3-5 years of Paid Search Engine Marketing (ppc) experience preferred; agency experience a plus. Experience with driving paid and organic marketing efforts Knowledge of organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics and the relationship between paid and organic search Must be fluent in the search landscape with experience managing multiple paid search campaigns with a variety of direct response and brand building goals. Knowledge of bid management tools, 3rd party adserving, and web analytics tools (Kenshoo, Omniture SearchCenter, AtlasDMT, WebTrends, etc.). Ability to work independently and synthesize large amounts of data while meeting tight deadlines. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills Ability to perform basic budget management and forecasting High attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects Willingness to work in a team environment and solid people management skills
