Job Description:
This position will lead consumer innovation initiatives to develop and launch profitable new consumer products: Principle Responsibilities Leading major brand marketing initiatives; including directing market research, product development, brand positioning, pricing strategy, promotions, and advertising / creative. Analyze competitive landscape, consumer trends and market research to identify consumer insight, needs gaps and opportunity for new products. Management and delivery of Branded sales and profit targets. Developing and communicating a vision for the brand product portfolio consistent with business goals and strategies. Recommending business opportunities at strategic and tactical level over 3 to 5 year time horizon. Seeking out and championing key ideas that generate positive business results. Exhibiting understanding of consumer segments and dynamics among them and capitalizing on this knowledge by developing relevant brand strategies. Develop an in-depth understanding of the commercial aspects of the companys brands sales and marketing and be able to anticipate needs across the brands. Analyzing and translating long-run trends, threats, and opportunities in the marketplace in terms of long-run business implications. Partner with Consumer Insights to develop and validate high potential new product concepts via market research. Develop new product P&L for high potential new products, lead development of business cases. Manage a budget and allocate expenditures to maximize potential for successful new product pipeline. Exhibiting understanding of consumer segments and dynamics among them and capitalizing on this knowledge by developing relevant brand strategies. Championing and facilitating annual business planning process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art required; MBA preferred Marketing concentration preferred A range of 5 to seven years of consumer goods marketing experience in a major organization (package goods) is required; preferably with past innovative role in CPG Food/beverage. Including management of a significant consumer brand with P&L responsibility is required. Experiences and accomplishments in brand / business planning, new product innovation, brand positioning development, pricing strategy, and directing market research is required Experience leading high performing cross-functional teams required. Experience working in a fact-based organization. Ability to translate strategy into benefit-based new product ideas. Experience coaching and developing others and ability to influence cross functional partners. Fundamental sound marketing skills with strong business knowledge and financial acumen. Extensive experience and skills in project management. Experience managing and developing direct reports.
