Executive Job Description | Job Title: Product Manager Medical Device Manufacturing
A Product Managers responsibilities involve all aspects of product management, including launching products and driving the Medical business growth within the healthcare market. Position includes working closely with all departments within the company and with the customer - communicating the customer and market needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide product development documentation, clinical studies and end user representation. Work with customers and R&D to develop new products to enhance the product portfolio. Market assessment and strategy development: -Analyze customer needs and quantify the market potential for Medical products. -Provide input to P Global Marketing and R&D on product requirements. -Develop quantitative and qualitative data on competitive products and activity -Organize focus groups and other market research to assess potential for new product opportunities -Identify new product and business opportunities with the objective of growing Medical market share and profit. -Provide recommendations of strategy and action plans Create product documentation and update as needed. Provide support for sustaining engineering and problem solving on existing products. Provide direct communication for customer support Create product launch plans and materials as needed -Collaborate with global marketing to develop and create communication and product launch materials for sales force and distributors -Support sales efforts through marketing programs, product launch activities and direct support in sales situations with associated expense budgets Develop tools for product promotion as needed. Initiate customer programs that effectively enhance sales and/or the corporate image within the marketplace Other product management and marketing duties as needed Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Language Skills: Excellent oral, reading and written communication skills. Multi-lingual abilities are desirable. Mathematical Skills: Good analytical skills, measuring and statistical analysis. College mathematics with some statistics. Reasoning Ability: Ability to perform analytical studies and solve complex problems. Able to resolve computer problems and simplify complex technical problems into straight forward advantages for the company. Able to analyze problems or opportunities and initiate corrective action plans respectively for maximum corporate advantage. Computer Skills: Able to operate computer without difficulty. Proficient at typing. Proficient in computer software, such as: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop. Able to use: telephone, fax, printers, copier, PC, slide and computer presentation devices. Other Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge or marketing experience of diagnostic medical laboratory markets. Has a creative thinking ability. Has good organization and planning abilities. Has skills to learn to operate medical equipment, such as diagnostics laboratory devices Supervisory Skills: Possess leadership abilities, in order to lead a project team and other supervisory tasks as needed. Leadership and persuasion skills. Human Relations: Has the ability to work with others. This position interacts with virtually all departments and outside entities. EDUCATION: College Graduate BA/BS EXPERIENCE: More than 5 years relevant experience REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Broad range of core marketing and product management skills Analytical horsepower and excellent problem solving capabilities Financial management & analysis skills and conceptual thinking skills are a must, as well as the ability to make decisions. Must be capable of leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization Exceptional written and oral communication skills required to gain commitment and support for decisions and motivate the organization to support the product line. Demonstrated marketing skills (product development, segmentation/targeting, product positioning/pricing, forecasting/promotion) required. Must be a self-starter, capable of managing and prioritizing a large number of projects and tasks at various stages of development Drive, initiative, and creativity essential. Comfortable with healthcare/diagnostic technologies and plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel required. Prolonged sitting. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal office environment.
