Scope and Responsibilities
The Product Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring the achievement of sales objectives for his or her assigned products/ product lines and he or she manages the implementation and execution of the marketing plan. The Product Manager is the technical advisor for the assigned product/product lines and he or she supports and trains the sales force.
Our Client’s highly collaborative Product Teams work closely together to develop new products and enhance/ extend existing products/product lines. The Product Manager participates on commercialization teams, meets with customers and attends industry events to understand issues and gain feedback on products being brought to market.
On a day to day basis, the Product Manager is responsible for developing innovative marketing programs, identifying customer needs (VOC), monitoring the competitive landscape, managing product life cycles, brand/product messaging and positioning, and developing pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
• 6 plus years of experience in the medical diagnostics industry preferably with diagnostic laboratory instrumentation; Abbott, Sysmex, Roche, Siemens, or J&J Ortho Diagnostics. Alternatively, with major medical device/pharmaceutical companies; Edwards Lifescience, Medtronic, St Jude, Carefusion, Covidien, Becton Dickinson, Philips.
• Experience working with financial models and marketing analytics
• Proven track record of managing complete product life-cycles
• Strong understanding of the strategic selling process, ideally has spent time in the field working with customers
• Must be a self-starter, with strong execution, project management and leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment
Education: • BS in Science or Marketing • MBA preferred |
