Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director will develop and direct all the pre-marketing and launch activities for the product (expected to launch late 2010 or early 2011.) Initial launch setting will be in the hospital segment, with subsequent launches in the retail market. This will be the first launch of the companys new CNS strategy and as such this person will also play a leadership role in the new product commercialization within the company.
Job Responsibilities Include: Develop the launch plan, including strategic direction and tactical plan for hospital and out-patient segments. Leverage in-depth understanding of key markets, disease state and product knowledge to recommend, direct and implement strategic and tactical plans including pricing, promotions, medical education, forecasting, pack size, P&L and all other aspects of brand management. Responsible for short and long term product planning, lifecycle management, and overall risk management of the franchise. Ensure the integrity of brand messaging throughout the medical / regulatory / legal process. Responsible for managing and monitoring brand P&L. Work cross-functionally with sales, analytics, national accounts and managed care depts. to maximize product performance. Management / selection of vendors and partners. Manage the Associate Marketing Director and expanding team of marketing support personnel. Office-based with about 20% travel required.
Top Candidate Experience: College degree required, Masters preferred 16+ years in a pharmaceutical business environment Minimum of 2 years hospital marketing experience required (with a minimum of 5 years experience in product marketing) In depth marketing experience within CNS / Psychiatry, with atypical anti-psychotic experience a plus Established history of in-depth marketing experience and leadership in CNS/Psychiatry Comprehensive experience of product planning and tactical execution for both HCP and consumer markets, P&L management Product launch experience, hospital setting a plus Comprehensive / broad base of experience and knowledge in all aspects of in-line marketing Ability to work in a faced pace environment handling multiple demands Excellent written and oral communication skills required
