Scope of the Job This organization has an exciting career opportunity for a Director of Marketing, Customized Solutions. This new position is located in Houston, Texas and reports to the Vice President of Healthcare Informatics. We seek a strong leader who has experience managing teams and developing people. You must be a hands-on, creative entrepreneur with the ability to empower. The perfect candidate will have a strong background in marketing as well as web and technology expertise. For best fit, candidates should have an understanding of healthcare informatics.
You will develop short-term strategies and goals for growth; implement short and long term plans and execute strategic integrated marketing programs to increase awareness and usage of products and service lines within the biopharmaceutical manufacturer and payor markets. This includes but is not limited to informatics, market research, and distribution services.
You will continually evaluate and recommend adjustments to marketing strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions. You will provide marketing advice and guidance to ensure overall marketing communication penetration and sales effectiveness. You will focus on the generation of new solutions and services leading ultimately to new business development. You must possess an understanding of customer and market needs, and recommend adjustments to product format to ensure success. You will support related marketing initiatives within the organization.
Responsibilities 1. You will provide sales support for development activities, including competitive analysis, objection handling, market knowledge, and product education and training.
2. You will be responsible for positioning and packaging products and services and related development and production of branded communication tools, including website, sales literature, and client testimonials.
3. You will develop a detailed understanding of biopharmaceutical and payor markets and educate stakeholders to ensure marketing and development success.
4. You will be responsible for the development of integrated strategic marketing plans including goals and objectives to drive product awareness, new business opportunities, and sales results.
5. You will work closely with the sales and management team representing each of the corporate business units to develop detailed understanding of sales support needs.
6. You will work closely and collaboratively with the matrix management team representing each of the corporate business units to ensure individual business growth success as well as ensuring each business is appropriately represented.
7. You will direct supervision responsibility for contracts, MSAs, SOWs, and RFPs.
8. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive programs for developing and increasing a deep understanding of customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Candidate Requirements 1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administrations, or related discipline. Candidates must possess cutting edge web and technology experience.
2. Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing, development or communications, including experience with service line responsibility or launching services. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or payor industries is a plus.
3. Must be available to travel by air or automobile approximately 30% of the time
Compensation A compensation package will be designed to attract outstanding talent and will include a base salary and performance bonus.
