Executive Job Description | Our client, an innovative medial device company with an exceptional portfolio of products that represent game-changing technology in its market, is seeking a market research professional to lead its marketing research strategy. The company is driven by an entrepreneurial esprit de corps and shared passion for its products and their potential to save human lives. In this new position, they are seeking an intellectually curious, business savvy individual to help to build the business via analysis and understanding of the market, the competition and future trends and opportunities for the company. He/she will conduct appropriate studies, clinical and post-clinical research — including multi-year user studies; will work with marketing strategy and commercial development leaders to develop product strategies and to put together customized proposals for potential business partners; and will manage key opinion leaders. The growth potential for both the company and the person taking this position in the firm are extraordinary. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Qualifications: BA/BS in Marketing or a related field plus MBA and 10-12 years work experience with a minimum of 3 years in a marketing research role in a medical device, pharmaceutical or similar company with a B2B business model are required. Experience at a drug delivery device company would be ideal; experience with product design and development and products targeted to the consumer is a plus. In-depth knowledge of the medical device industry and of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly parenteral drugs, is optimal. At minimum, a desire to gain an in-depth knowledge of this industry is mandatory. This is an opportunity for an executive with a global mindset, growth potential and the ability to take on responsibilities beyond traditional marketing research.
