Move is currently looking for a Manager of Yield & Inventory Optimization to join our team in our New York, NY, Westlake Village, CA or Campbell, CA location.
Responsibilities:
Maximize yield on advertising inventory across the various sites and channels in the advertising network Thought leadership in building out the organization's reporting and analytics infrastructure and identifying new areas of measurement and analysis as needed Ability to synthesize data and provide business strategy recommendations based on data to deliver qualitative and quantitative analyses to support decision making across the organization Responsible for internal analytics reports and ad-hoc analyses Monitor and balance inventory supply against advertiser demand Provide detailed historical analysis and forward looking sell through analysis Ensure communications related to inventory levels, yield, and forecasts are made consistently and regularly to advertising operations, sales, and executive teams Provide strategic guidance on advertising rates and inventory allocation based on historical inventory flow, forecasted demands, and emerging new media trends Responsible for developing, producing and reviewing weekly, monthly reporting KPIs Create and maintain reporting, forecasting models, dashboards and other analytics for online media business Create these reports and analytics based on site traffic and advertising/lead delivery to provide transparency to historical performance and trends and inform traffic and revenue forecasting assumptions Maximize yield on advertising inventory and lead distribution across the various sites and channels in the advertising network Work with various departments and functions to pull operational data and drivers into regular reports and working models to predict and monitor the business Provide dynamic, real-time, bottoms-up business-case modeling and analysis of key media business drivers including revenue, CPM, CPL, inventory availability, and sell-through rates Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify pricing and revenue optimization opportunities Provide analytical support to determine potential revenue, costs and potential risks for strategic partnerships and non-standard media deals
Qualifications:
5+ years professional experience in online media, preferably with direct experience managing yield for an established advertising network BS in Business, Finance, or Math; MBA desirable Direct experience with MS Excel, SQL Server, Ad Serving Technology (DART experience preferred,) Behavioral Targeting and Web analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends) Proven ability to establish and manage process across in an organization Demonstrated ability to maintain full accountability for mission critical projects Extraordinary analytical skills, the ability to make magic with raw data in Excel (charts, pivot tables, macros etc,) common database reporting tools, and technical proficiency building complex models is required Extensive business analysis and financial modeling experience in the online advertising or internet technology industry required Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. Candidate must have the ability to communicate the "big picture" and also drill down to supporting details as needed Candidate must have proven experience in an "internal" customer-facing role and building relationships with key internal customers Ability to deal with competing priorities effectively Must be a high-energy, motivated team player with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally to drive projects and strategic initiatives to completion 1-2 years experience with online traffic and advertising reporting using tools such as Omniture and Doubleclick is required; Experience in lead generation businesses a plus 2-3 years experience in data mining Ability to work with large amounts of information and synthesize relationships, trends and insights and communicate findings to an executive audience is required Be able to operate independently and proactively Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures Experience working with executive management teams as well as cross-functional teams Strong communication skills, verbal and written, are required Strong interpersonal skills are required Must be highly organized and proactive
