Executive Job Description | The overall mission of the Director/Sr Director is to lead a team of associates that grow the business through the development and execution of web/ecommerce vision and strategies for our Cincinnati-based client. The team will make sure the business processes and systems are designed, developed, operational and optimized for ecommerce. The team will manage the content on the sites to support the Business, Brand & Consumer goals of each Brand. This Director/Sr Director will also be responsible for ensuring that cross-brand corporate initiatives are leveraged across all sites as appropriate. The Director/Sr Director will ensure strategies and experiences are consistent across channels.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: • Manages a team who: o Develops web strategies & creative execution consistent w/ the Brand KPIs o Develops new web sites, and “roadmaps” for future enhancements o Develops the creative & implements the online portion of the retail marketing programs. o Develops and implements business process and systems • Ensures that team creates appropriate project timelines and meets requirements. • Ensures that multi-brand initiatives such as on-line appointment scheduling, are leveraged across all sites as appropriate • Lead development, recommendation and implementation of consistent strategies in online and brick and mortar environments • Manage external vendor relationships, negotiates contracts and partners with IT and other Company divisions • Lead development, recommendation, approval and implementation of annual plans to deliver brand objectives o Leads development of capital plan request for web/ecommerce initiatives • Lead strategies and implementation of e-commerce programs • Leads brand web and ecommerce priority setting and resource allocation • Oversee ecommerce demand generation efforts to ensure effectiveness • Manage online customer retention and acquisition efforts • Constantly seeks process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness • Drives innovation • Continually seeks emerging technologies and solutions as well as performs competitive analysis reports • Lead cross-functional teams to develop new internet initiatives
EXPERIENCE: •10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within retail industry •Knowledge of management principles and practices; budgeting, cost estimating, fiscal management principles and procedures •Strong internet background in Web Strategy & Design and e-commerce •Graphic Design and/or IT or strong technical background strongly desirable •On-line marketing experience, a plus •Strong Project Management Skills •Managerial experience •Demonstrated appreciation for and experience with effectively managing channel conflicts •Understanding of optical industry a plus •Demonstrated ability to work with/through complex organizations and manage multiple constituents EDUCATION: •Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
COMPENSATION: Salary in the $112,000 to $123,000 range PLUS a $36,000 to $48,000 annual bonus. Relocation package available.
