Executive Job Description | My client is a global business intelligence and marketing research firm that delivers syndicated and custom research solutions. Due to consistent year over year growth and significant opportunity within their clients, they now seek to hire a Director of New Business Development for the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
The primary responsibility of this role is to bring high-level solutions to our clients via our capabilities to deliver custom and syndicated projects. The individual in this role will oversee and develop our Consulting business within specific sectors of the CPG industry, work closely with prospective clients and have a major voice in the development of our strategy of delivering custom solutions to them.
Primary Responsibilities ________________________________________
Provide insights to clients around key trends and industry marketing activity; Present industry and product specific implications to clients in-person and via webinar; Evaluate the strategies of direct marketing campaigns within the industry; Train customer-facing teams on industry activity and business applications of our analytical tools; Work collaboratively with colleagues to secure new business and further develop existing customer relationships by effectively communicating business applications; Work collaboratively and intimately within the organization to develop insight driven reporting; Produce press releases and act as our industry spokesperson; Partner with product managers to develop and enhance existing products and services; Up to 30% travel required.
Job Qualifications ________________________________________
8-10 years experience, with an established track record of understanding new business in new or highly competitive markets. Successful track record in closing new business and achieving monthly goals. Experience in consultative selling and prospecting. Ability to take risks, problem solve and manage multiple industry segments. Ability to develop and execute a business plan in new markets. Analytic skills to interpret statistical information and develop case studies. Excellent negotiation skills, including the art of persuasion and creativity. Strong problem solving, presentation, and communication skills. Risk taker, out-of-the box thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit. Industry and Market Research industry a plus.
