Executive Job Description | The Director of Analytics will provide in-depth analysis of this NYC company's business results and consumer behavior to improve sales, profitability and customer value. This role reports to the VP of Marketing and will have two direct reports. Primary responsibilities include measuring the effectiveness of emails, SEM and other marketing activities, creating and analyzing dashboard reports for tracking of business results, database management and ensuring data integrity.
Responsibilities: - Assume leadership role of all online marketing and customer analytics and own strategic development of online marketing database - Lead insight generation based on reporting and analysis - Identify strategic online trends and actionable customer insights based on a clear understanding of business objectives retention, acquisition, purchase frequency, cross-shopping, profitability, etc… - Analyze multi-channel results of online programs and customers - Develop modeling capabilities and analyses around customer segmentation, campaign response and optimization - Develop ongoing KPI reports that monitor conversion rates, channel attribution, shopping funnels and other website trends. Ensure accuracy of all data sources and timely delivery of reports. - Analyze sales promotion results including evaluation of incremental sales/profit and present learnings and recommendations to management - Forecast traffic, conversion and demand plans for web business - Perform extensive data quality / data analysis to ensure integrity of database for business use
Requirements: **Must have worked for an Online division/department** - BA/BS degree, Masters preferred in Mathematics, Economics or related field - At least 7 years of related work experience in database or marketing analysis. Must have extensive experience in data analysis - Expert skills in writing complex SQL queries to analyze, manipulate data, investigate data problems, develop and modify reports - Extensive experience with business intelligence systems such as Business Objects and analysis tools such as SAS - Must have worked for an Ecommerce function or department, not just retail stores - Strong experience with CRM systems and relational databases - Solid understanding on web metrics and experience with web analytics and measurement tools like Omniture or Coremetrics - Strong conceptual and creative thinker - Strong data interpretation and communication skills; ability to summarize complex findings clearly and concisely - Self-motivated, proactive, disciplined, fast learner and organized. Highly flexible and adapts well to a rapidly changing environment - Must be detail-oriented
Compensation: Salary in the $110,000 to $130,000 range commensurate with education and experience. Bonus eligible position.
