Executive Job Description | Director of Engineering Responsibilities „X Direct day to day operations of an engineering department (design and manufacturing). „X Supervise and develop a team of 4 engineers. Future hiring will occur as company expands. „X Oversee engineering drawings and product design. „X Develop, design and integrate solutions to meet customer system specifications for performance, cost and reliability. „X Perform both engineering analysis and hands-on evaluation to prove designs meet product objectives. „X Prepare, check and review design documentation for accuracy to uncover any errors and verify that the design as documented meets performance objectives. „X Oversee process improvement and manufacturing engineering projects. „X Work in cross functional project teams with will include company Sales professionals. „X Provide technical support external to engineering.
Requirements „X Bachelor of Engineering. An MBA or Professional Certification is a plus. „X 8+ years experience in Design and Manufacturing Engineering. „X 5+ years experience in Management or Supervision of Engineers. „X Experience dealing with and coming up with customer solutions. „X Diverse Industry and Applications experience: Solar, Structural, Building, and/or Construction Industry is desirable. „X Leadership and Project Management experience along with the ability to work in a team concept. „X Engineering Skills that include: CAD, GDT, ERP systems, BOM structures, Engineering Change Management, Cost Analysis, MRB, DFM and ROM tools. „X Understanding of Building Codes. „X Demonstrated ability to take projects from inception through to production and completion. „X Competent with independent problem solving and design solution selection. „X A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
