Assurant is seeking a Vice President of our Hazard Outsourcing Service Center in Duluth, GA (NE Atlanta area) to manage and direct all aspects of the Center's operational objectives, policies and initiatives in order to ensure the minimization of expenses and the optimization of service level compliance in accordance with established contractual agreements, standards and regulations. Leadership responsibility of a service center operation of more than 1,100 associates servicing contractual compliance with our clients. Responsibilities include management of workflow and insurance processing for hazard, wind, and flood insurance for homeowners.

The VP will provide overall leadership, direction, and guidance for the operational activities of the Center, with the objective of maximizing productivity and cost effectiveness as well as day-to-day leadership and management to all company operations functions.

Key responsibilities include:
Manages Center operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives and policies.
Ensures the development of procedures necessary to implement policy. Provides the overall direction necessary to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective area services.
Reviews operating results of the Center, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.

Plans, coordinates and controls the daily operation of the Center through the Center's management team. Responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective organization for area(s) of responsibility, including: a) efficient work flow patterns; b) established performance standards; c) effective delineation of duties and responsibilities; d) suitable staffing levels; e) appropriate management and supervision; and f) systems for timely communication of pertinent information.

Provide advice, guidance and direction to subordinates to carry out major plans, standards and procedures, consistent with established policies.
Represents Assurant and the Center with clients, customers, shareholders, vendors, the financial community and the public. Conducts center tours and participates in new client and prospective client sales presentations, as well as annual business reviews and procedural discussions with current clients. Actively participates in the marketing and sale of our services.

Hires subordinate managerial team and (as necessary) assists them in planning staffing patterns for their area(s) of responsibility. Develops, evaluates, and (when necessary) disciplines and discharges subordinates personnel. Ensures the development of function-specific orientation and training programs for area personnel. Establishes standards for effective job performance and evaluates subordinates according to such standards. Delegates these responsibilities to subordinate managerial personnel as appropriate.
Responsible for the development, implementation and documentation of quality and compliance monitoring within the Center to ensures compliance with contractual agreements and compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and standards.
Participates on committees and in programs for best practice, IT development, process improvements, Six Sigma, workflow enhancements and development, safety, fire prevention, disaster recovery and so forth. Ensures the development of specific plans for inclusion in these programs. Acts as Executive Sponsor for specific cross-center functional teams.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or 10+ years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have over 10+ years of Mortgage Banking experience with and emphasis in escrow administration, insurance processing, and research. Incumbent must possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of loan servicing.

Customer Care Research - some experience
Loss Drafts
Imaging & Records Management
Facilities
P&L Management
Risk Management
Client relations
Minimum of 7 years leadership experience managing multiple functional areas in a large service center operation.
High Level management with front line management experience.
Travel is required on an as needed basis.
