Executive Job Description | Position Title : Vice President, Engineering (SaaS) Position Type: Full Time, Permanent Location : Beaverton, Oregon
Responsibility: The Vice President, Engineering will be responsible for driving all elements of development and support for the products and solutions offered by the company. S/he will directly manage and lead an experienced, technically strong organization, comprised of approximately 120 engineers across multiple geographies. This leader will partner closely with Product Management, our Sales and Services organizations, and existing customers.The Vice President of Engineering will be Reporting to the GM.
Key responsibilities of this position will include:
• Manage the new development, delivery, and support of multiple product lines. Support existing customers, sales to new customers, and conversions between product lines within a SaaS delivery model. • Build and motivate strong leadership and skilled individual technical contributors. Successfully manage engineering efforts using agile best practices. • Work closely with the Sales and Services organizations and directly with customers as appropriate to quickly and efficiently address product issues and special requests. • Build, manage, define and implement the development methodologies, processes, procedures, systems and schedules that will ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases. • Accountable for and share responsibility with other members of senior management for the overall health and growth of our business. • Lead and reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of employees. This individual will be looked upon to inspire confidence and add additional leadership strength to the executive team. • Provide compelling executive representation of our technology, products, and technical team to external constituents, customers and partners. • Develop and manage a $13M budget as well as provide timely and accurate forecasts, budgets and other management tools as required
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 15 years of increased responsibility managing commercial software products, working with international teams spanning multiple engineering disciplines. • A solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of product design, life cycle, software development practices, and support services. • Experience with software best practices in a SaaS environment is critical.
• 25% travel is required between our operations in Beaverton, Oregon, Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and Noida, India.
