MUST BE LIVING IN AL OR TN
Company: Flatbed truck transportation of steel coils for ｡ｧbig steel｡ｨ industry, both through a dedicated fleet and their growing flatbed brokerage operation
Comments: Looking to establish a number of truck broker agencies in the Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Tennessee area to develop backhaul freight for their own equipment (34+ tractor trailers) as well as bringing on brokerage truck load business
Duties / Background /Objectives:
ボ Grow their flatbed brokerage operation in the Southeast with the ability and contacts to bring flat load freight to fill out the Company｡ｦs owned fleet and brokerage owner-operator freight
ボ Brokers can represent other carriers, but not direct competitors;
ボ Only one agent to a geographic area unless the brokers control different shippers;
ボ Manager will have the responsibility to determine the location of the brokerage operation
ボ Manage and overlook the brokerage operator｡ｦs margins, service and balance;
ボ Develop a profitable region
Duties And Responsibilities:
ボ Fully responsible to grow and run a truck brokerage operation in the states of AL, TN, GA, LA to complement and support their current OTR flatbed fleet.
ボ Provide hiring/coaching/development of all agencies
ボ Manage the day-to-day operations to include: group operations, carrier development, administration and customer service.
ボ Manage and direct the Operations and Customer Service support activities of brokerage business and resolves customer and carrier service issues.
ボ P&L responsibility
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
ボ 3 - 5 years proven management skill within the truck brokerage and customer service areas.
ボ 2 - 3 years of experience leading a team.
ボ Connection to a network of flatbed carriers
ボ Strong problem solving analysis and communication skills
ボ Must have extensive flatbed truck experience
