Senior Director, Regional General Manager 2; WalMart
(New Positions. Locations: Austin, El Paso, Lexington KY, Germantown, WI, Nashville TN, Warner Robbins GA, Jacksonville FL, Livonia MI)

Directs a regional team and multiple Market Managers by providing clarity of vision; prioritizing resources; facilitating alignment of the team; setting
high expectations; inspiring commitment; encouraging mutual support; and enabling development opportunities.

Develops and implements multi year profitable business and growth strategies for a region to deliver increased market share by managing financial
performance; developing and implementing real estate plans for growth; assessing economic factors, demographic trends, and competitive strategy; enhancing the Walmart brand; and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders.

Implements and models customer service standards across complex regions and markets by ensuring unbeatable excellence in store standards; understanding unique needs of customer; ensuring enhanced customer experience for the region; creating an environment for all markets to set excellent customer service expectations that are aligned with customer needs and expectations and company goals.

Directs the acquisition of competitive talent for a region by ensuring human resource assets develop multi year talent strategy and succession processes; partnering in development of company human resource initiatives; addressing new business needs; and promoting opportunities to attract and retain a high performing diverse workforce.

Analyzes and mitigates risk to the region (i.e. relative to competition, labor, compliance, federal, state, and local laws) by proactively monitoring internal and external risk opportunities to the company; developing an action plan; and utilizing the regional team to execute the plan. Manages overall financial performance of assigned area by analyzing and reconciling financial reports; directing the creation and administration of
capital and expense budgets; determining trends and areas of opportunity to enhance sales and profit for the region; advising others on cost control
methods; and resolving budgetary issues.

Provides overall direction for a Region by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Analyzes Markets - Develops a business case for new solutions, products, and services and presents it to senior leadership to obtain needed support, financing, and resources. Identifies market opportunities that are consistent with the strategy of the business and takes appropriate action to address these opportunities. Establishes revenue and profit targets for solutions, products, and services on the basis of market research. Utilizes
consumer and competitive data to determine best store and customer segmentation and store of the community merchandise. Determines and develops the best portfolio of solutions, products, and services to counter competitors’ strategies and respond to community needs.

Manages Financial Performance - Prepares, justifies, and administers budgets in accordance with company goals and strategies. Ensures expenses are accurately forecasted and modified in line with sales performance. Monitors the execution of expenditures against the operating plan and makes corrections when necessary. Employs established methods or techniques to the analysis of financial data. Uses knowledge of financial data, including history, strengths, and weaknesses, to evaluate potential solutions to situations. Develops, implements, and monitors action plans to
ensure the attainment of financial goals.

Judgment: Make Sound Judgments - Uses objective financial and business analyses to evaluate the returns and risks of business choices. Analyzes and integrates trends and patterns to determine the root causes of problems and identify solutions. Evaluates short- and long-term implications of decisions. This position is responsible for the operation of multiple facilities. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job relatedresponsibilities and duties as assigned and/or as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
4 years of multi-facility management experience OR
7 years experience supervising Management Associates OR 5 years experience as a Store Manager OR
7 years supervising managers who have P&L responsibility and make employment decisions.

Preferred Qualifications
2 years managing a metropolitan retail store.
5 years experiences managing a grocery retail operation.
7 years of retail management experience.
BA/BS degree in a business-related field.
