Executive Job Description | The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for the management and direction of the business unit's strategic planning, business development and coordination of departments. This involves facilitating communications between multi-functional team members and Senior Management to ensure key milestones and goals are achieved. The position solves complex, nonrecurring strategic problems and coordinates marketing, sales, finance, supply chain functions in setting and achieving their goals including through strategic alliances and business development.
Responsibilities • Serve as principal aide to the Head of North America, including assisting Head of North America in establishing and tracking management priorities. • Develop strategy for NA BDC, help conduct analyses to solve major business issues. • Drive North America senior management team operating routines. • Manage execution of complex business operations and maintain clear expectations and accountability for direct reports of Head of NA. • Directly handle matters of organizational importance on behalf of the Head of North America, as appropriate. • Provide integrated analytical support and strategic consultation to senior management on major issues facing the business. • Participate in and/or lead the preparation of briefings, presentations and/or reports on behalf of senior management on strategic, institutional, or operational issues. • Keep senior management team aligned and motivated. • Determine which analyses and actions are required to appropriately evaluate business opportunities and address different strategic and tactical opportunities. • Advise Head of North America in changing the priorities and launching new initiatives.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree is required. MBA is a strong plus. 3 - 5 years of experience at senior staff level is required. 10+ years overall operational experience is required. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical, medical devices, and/or consumer goods industry. Track record demonstrating strong analytical skills, including work in strategy definition and refinement. Must have ability to provide strategic business counsel to management team. Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across constituencies within large organization. Proven capacity for leadership and prior experience leading a team. Strong problem-solving capabilities. Candidates must be either current US Citizens or Green Card holders. |
