Role Summary/Purpose - Internal
The Senior Business Segment Manager will be accountable for functional, business and broad company objectives. This is an opportunity to direct the Competitive Utility Market segment for the Total Plant Optimization business group. This position will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, while managing complex issues and driving external focus within a matrixed organization. In this position, you will:
Essential Responsibilities - Internal
Develop strategies & drive service development focused on customers in an organized wholesale power market (ISO/RTO) or bi-lateral wholesale power markets environments Create programs responsive to external environment- Consistently evaluate customer's present and future needs Pull from support teams to provide best solutions for maximum total plant Key Performance Indicator (KPI) impact or significant return on their investment- Analyze and resolve gaps in current products/services Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through an in-depth knowledge of customer's organization Interact at all levels in the customer's organization
Qualifications/Requirements - Internal
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Minimum of 5 years experience in business or competitor analysis Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management or leadership role
Desired Characteristics - Internal
Master's degree from an accredited institution Strong cross-functional leadership experience Ability to work in a matrixed environment- Ability to drive change and make critical decisions Ability to drive process improvements and solve complex problems- Global leadership experience is preferred Ability to manage cross-functional work assignments within various businesses and implement best practices at customer sites
The Total Plant Optimization business is an exciting new effort in Energy Services to enable smart decision-making in changing market conditions. Through our vast IP and plant-as-system view, our consultative KPI improvement approach will help maximize plant profitability through revolutionary data integration systems, plant systems/hardware knowledge solutions and plant operations expertise. This is an opportunity to direct the Competitive Utility Market segment for the Total Plant Optimization business group. This role will develop and execute a customer enterprise solution to drive growth. This is a unique chance to help set the direction for a new business initiative right from the start.
