The Trucking Company’s organization is poised for a dynamic, enthusiastic and professional General Manager with exceptional leadership skills to Champion a Continuous Improvement Initiative for all areas.
Skills, abilities, knowledge and experience needed for the General Manager, with full P&L responsibility, to create, implement and lead a Continuous Improvement Program to attain the next level of success for the trucking company and to further contribute to the parent company’s success.
Candidate should have a proven track record of success to establish long and short term objectives that are aligned with the parent company’s goals and to develop and implement a Strategic Plan to attain the goals and objectives.
Candidate should have progressive managerial experience with accomplishments that validate skills and abilities utilized to successfully lead a trucking transport division, department, organization and/or company with the objectives of maximizing revenue, minimizing costs, and while never compromising customer service and/or safety. Must have knowledge and experience with DOT and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.
Selected candidate will have a successful track record for improving performance of management, staff and hourly employees to attain predetermined goals and objectives.
Selected candidate must have skills, knowledge and experience to work collaboratively with direct reports, staff and employees to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures/Best Practices for improved performance.
Candidate should have strong objective, analytical decision making skills; the ability to conduct root cause analysis on a timely basis for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvements.
Selected candidate must have solid business acumen with skills, abilities and successful experience to manage an operating budget, capital budget, cost reduction initiatives and to identify and attain new revenue streams.
Candidate should have knowledge, skills and ability to identify and implement a Recruiting Program for drivers and to identify and implement a driver Retention Program.
