Executive Job Description | Our client is a well-established and still-growing raw materials manufacturer / distributor with 15+ locations, nationwide. Currently they are seeking a (2) General Managers, each to oversee a fabrication facility: one in Houston, TX and one in the Milwaukee, WI area. Both plants are approximately 100 employees, and accountabilities will include sales, production, customer service, safety, inventory / cost control, profitability and forecasting.
This individual will: Sets sales goals, monitors individual and sales team results, and evaluates all aspects of production and customer service. Manages key customer relationships and establishes quality standards. Review and approve pricing, margins, sales quotes and job estimates. Establish inventory levels and ensures that effective cost control processes are in place and followed. Manages overhead and expense levels to meet budget and P/L goals. Ensure compliance with established safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Requirements for these roles include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ Years of similar Manufacturing Management experience with Six Sigma and/or other Lean Manufacturing techniques and strategies, along with relevant certifications.
• MUST have recent raw materials industry expertise, specifically unprocessed or minimally processed products as metals, glass, wood.
• Sales management background needed, with full P&L responsibility, and playing a part in building customer product line, setting pricing, inventory levels, developing benchmarks and performance metrics.
Compensation for these positions would be base salary in the $110-120+ range, plus bonus program. Relocation assistance offered for relatively unencumbered individuals interested in Texas or Wisconsin geography.
