Executive Job Description | Company Overview: Our Client is a diversified, global manufacturer of highly engineered metal components and assemblies, serving automotive, power generation, aerospace, and general industrial markets. The subject division’s business has over 15 facilities and over 5,000 employees. It represents a quarter of total corporate sales.
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar required. Masters Degree preferred. • Must be an Experienced General Manager • Shall have had full P&L responsibility for a business of over $400 million, manufacturing highly engineered products. • Must be intellectually curious, with proven long-term vision, and the ability to create new ways to succeed. • Must have a strong experience driving performance improvements and achieving financial targets. • Has demonstrated success building global teams and changing company cultures. • Should have experience in the general industrial, automotive or aerospace sectors, although not a requirement. • Have a solid understanding of finance, process control, marketing, and sales. • Equally comfortable walking the plant floor as interacting with Wall Street analysts. • Have both a strong strategic tool kit and strong tactical execution capability. • Has experience identifying, executing and integrating significant acquisitions would be a plus. • Has experience in a decentralized business environment with a lean corporate staff would be strongly preferred. • Must have the desire and ability to become a succession candidate for the CEO at some point in the future.
Primary Job Functions (reporting directly to the President & CEO): • This President, with full P&L responsibility for this $1Billion+ manufacturing business, will be charged with growing shareholder value. • S/he will serve as a key member of the corporation’s senior management. They will be accountable for providing overall leadership and management for this organization and driving the business to greater levels of performance. • The president will develop the long-term vision that captures new opportunities that will include growth as well as productivity and cost reduction initiatives. • This individual will be very hands-on and engaged in driving improved performance in the operation excellence areas of manufacturing productivity, delivery, service, and quality. • This person must create a metrics driven, highly accountable mindset within their organization. • The President will develop a strong team and prepare future leaders for the entire corporation, not just this division. S/he must be a “talent magnet” with an ability to attract and retain excellent managers and leaders.

Compensation: A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary, along with performance-based bonus, vacation, relocation expenses, and health program.
