Executive Job Description | China CEO/ Country Manager based outside of Hong Kong-Will relocate from USA someone who has lived in China and wishes to return or candidate in Asia. Job Purpose/Objective: As the leader of the senior team in China, and also a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this position will have primary responsibility for the profitability and growth of the company and is directly accountable for all activities of the company. The incumbent, together with local and regional management, directs the corporation in establishing long-rang plans, strategy and policy. Formulates, recommends and executes all policies related to operations and sales. Manages and coordinates all business functions to ensure optimal achievement of company objectives in country. The position will report to the Regional SVP & CEO based in Singapore
Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results: • Drive revenue toward customer, high value-added, multi-product diversified activity to improve quality. • Strong relationship with JV partner • Build and maintain key relationships, e.g. government relationships; build company's image by establishing expert reputation in industry. • Short and long term revenue and cost targets reflect effective integration of breadth and depth of products and/ or market. • Continue to aggressively pursue additional business partners to expand TM/DM and Bancassurance operations. • Manages functional leaders (sales, operations, and staff functions).
Current State of Business/Organization/Operation: • Major clients are financial institutions or credit card channels. • Direct Marketing/Tele Marketing business represents the company's core business in the country. • Current strategies are sound and business results have been strong. • Market is very competitive with strong growth. • Business plans have been met consistently.
Experience/Knowledge Requirements: • Minimum 15-20 years of experiences in a financial services or insurance environment. • Demonstrates leadership in managing and influencing a large and cultural diverse group. • Has cross-functional broad experience in marketing/sales/business development areas, preferably in multiple Asia-Pacific markets. • A driver of people renewal initiatives which ensure top quality management continuity. • An outstanding record and reputation for exhibiting the highest personal and professional integrity. • A strategic leader with proven success at building global, diversified financial services businesses through innovative product development and marketing, as well as acquisitions, alliances, or joint ventures. • A consistent track record of running businesses with top results. • Ability to create and communicate a compelling company vision and new business directions to external constituents, shareholders and employees, and engage their support. • Ability to drive a commitment throughout the organization to maximize profit and exceed customer expectations. • Pattern of thinking, talking, leading and acting with customers continuously in mind. • Candidate must have run a substantial business with P&L responsibility • Must have consumer experience
Education and Other Requirements: • Bachelor degree required with a graduate degree preferred, in a business or financial discipline.
