Executive Job Description	Our client, an international financial services company is seeking their Director of Tax for the New York headquarters. Responsibilities: • Oversee FAS 109 tax provision process for an investment management company and several real estate investment trusts • Develop and oversee FAS 109 tax provision processes for international investments • Oversee the reconciliation of foreign tax books with US GAAP books • Coordinate FIN 48 analysis for all reporting entities • Assist in reviewing complex transactions for REIT compliance and qualification • Interact with third party service providers and external auditors on a global basis • Ensure internal control documentation meets Sarbanes-Oxley requirements • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement change initiatives • Special projects as required Requirements: • Minimum 7-10 years experience; public/private mix is preferred • Significant tax compliance and FAS 109 experience in the real estate industry required • Experience with foreign taxes is preferred • CPA is a plus • Excellent research and analytical skills • Strong Excel skills • Must be hands on • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills • Ability to work with senior accounting and investment management in a team environment This position will report to the Director - Tax.
