Executive Job Description | Savings Bank seeks seasoned manager. The incumbent will report to and act as the operations deputy to the Chief Lending Officer. In this role, the incumbent will have direct responsibility for the Loan Servicing and Administration, Reporting and Analytics, Portfolio Management, and Loan Workout Teams. He or she will work with the New Business Teams and finance, accounting and risk functions to ensure that the Bank achieves effective portfolio management, sound financial reporting, and timely performance and forecasting tools. The incumbent will assist in making strategic recommendations and provide guidance regarding the balance sheet to improve returns on capital, enhance diversification of risk, and improve performance relative to peers on key risk and profitability metrics. The incumbent will also make recommendations and decisions regarding management and vendor processes associated with the asset side of the balance sheet. The incumbent and his/her team will provide analytics to enable Executive Management to understand current portfolio dynamics and assess the business units' adherence to guidelines and policies.
The ideal candidate will have: Experience in portfolio management, loan administration and loan servicing
A good understanding and a track record of successful leadership in bank operations, risk, credit, and bank management
Strong experience in systems administration, loan accounting, documentation, data warehousing, budgeting and forecasting
Firm knowledge of regulatory compliance and lending regulations
Strong writing, analytical, management and team-building skills
Credit trained
Experience in a publicly-traded community or commercial bank
A history of reporting to the Executive Team and board of directors
Must have 10 years of hands-on experience managing both small business and real estate loan servicing, audit, and operations. Must have proven leadership skills in managing a team of 15-20 people in a community or commercial bank.
