Executive Job Description | The Senior Treasury Accountant will be a part of the Treasury Group Controller team and provides technical expertise and implementation guidance regarding accounting, SEC and regulatory reporting issues for the business unit. The Group Controller team is responsible for ensuring the overall system of internal controls provides reasonable assurance as to the integrity and reliability of the group's financial data, and the protection of assets and the prevention of unauthorized use or disposition of assets. Treasury products and businesses include fixed income investments, equity positions, wholesale funding (money markets and corporate debt instruments), interest rate management and associated hedge strategies, derivatives, limited trading activities, structured finance, and risk and insurance management.
Responsibilities Providing technical assistance researching and concluding on accounting and financial reporting issues. Reviewing complex financial and business data to ensure the accuracy and completeness of SEC disclosures and regulatory reporting information. Ensuring accounting practices and documentation procedures are performed in accordance with corporate accounting and governance policies and procedures. Managing projects to implement new or revised accounting standards and ensuring appropriate controls are developed and put in place to maintain compliance. Assisting in the investigation, response and resolution of audit questions or issues presented by internal and external auditors and regulators. Ensuring business line team members are informed of available financial reports, tools and databases associated with the general ledger. Acting as liaison between business group leaders, finance and operations and the Corporate Controller's Division.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree is require. CPA is required. MBA is strongly preferred. 6 years progressive accounting experience is required. Public accounting experience is strongly preferred. Practical accounting experience in areas pertinent to Treasury products (securities, derivatives and hedging, wholesale funding, BOLI) Experience with financial reporting and complex accounting processes. Demonstrated leadership, initiative, ability to work and make independent decisions and ability to work effectively on teams. Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts and practices and demonstrated ability to interpret and apply guidelines. Ability to understand existing workflow and identify process improvements that will contribute to the effectiveness of our team. Ability to summarize issues and communicate findings and recommendations to management. Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written. Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well while meeting deadlines Candidates must be either current US Citizen or Green Card holders. |
