Executive Job Description | Senior Manager Tools & Modeling Top 10 Global Bank Position Description
Client Overview
Our client is one of the top Global Banks with both consumer and commercial/investment banking businesses and has a significant presence in the USA. They are seeking to grow their consumer banking business on a profitable basis and are seeking to add a Senior Manager of Tools & Modeling for their global consumer bank. This is a new position and report to the Director of Models & Tools for the Global Consumer Bank. There will be direct reports and involves managing a team of in multiple geographies. The position is located in the NYC area and relocation assistance is available for top candidates.
Major Responsibilities
The Senior Manager Tools & Modeling is responsible for: Models and tools across all global retail consumer banking businesses Develop and oversee the implementation of standard model development procedures across all businesses with the types of models spanning across all credit life cycle ranging from underwriting to collections/recovery. Develop and oversee the implementation of model validations procedures across all businesses Ensure timely model performance tracking, and automate the process to drastically improve process/operation efficiencies (where possible) to enable the business to make rapid credit decisions against market condition changes. Ensure the compliance of development and validation of models with respect to the overall Bank, Group Risk and external regulatory guidelines Develop training curriculum for Model development related activities and provide training for modelers Build and lead the best-in-class analytical/modeling group to develop credit risk/marketing models for markets where the businesses needs could not be met due to local talent/resource constraints Develop criteria and process to certify model developers (scoring specialists) Introduce best-in-class cutting edge techniques of modeling/segmentation through innovation Partner with businesses to develop business solutions through advanced analytical work
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal Senior Manager Tools & Modeling will have: Extensive experience in all aspect of credit risk management focusing on risk policy and tool development Strong tracking records in developing the best-in-class tools and models for large financial institutions Strong analytical background, data driven, results orientated Strong understanding of lending products from marketing and policy perspective Great leader in talent management, communication and influencing Experiences in working with regulators and compliance Strong ability to train and execute Innovative analytical methods in customer behavioral analysis linked to profitability
