Executive Job Description	A well established professional services organization located in the South Bay (San Francisco Bay Area) is seeking a Senior Director of Finance. The position is available due to a recent promotion and offers opportunity for advancement to CFO title. Responsibilities include dual management of financial and accounting practices for a non-profit oriented Trust with approximately $60M in assets and a management company with just over 30 employees. Reporting to the COO, the Senior Director of Finance will supervise staff accountants and be responsible for accounting controls, annual audits, budget development, quarterly financial reports, and cash flow management. Additional responsibilities include overseeing relationships with investment advisors and insurance carriers and giving oral presentations to members of the Board of Trustees. The Senior Director of Finance will be expected to improve business practices and operational effectiveness within the context of current policy. Qualifications We are seeking a mandatory six to ten solid years of related experience in comparable, small company overall general accounting responsibilities. B.S. in accounting or equivalent is required with advanced degree or education strongly desirable. Proficiency in Excel is required. Working knowledge of Non-profits is highly preferred to accelerate initiation into the organization. We are looking for demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team, a desire to take the initiative, a creative thinker and excellent communication skills both in oral and written presentations. A background in overseeing complex internal accounting structures and developing sound, creative problem-solving solutions is required. Occasional travel is required.
