Executive Job Description | Group: Product Controllers
Project: Cost of Credit
Product Controllers are product experts with a solid grasp of financial accounting, managerial accounting, and the regulatory and reporting environments of a company. Product Control is the last straw before financial numbers are reported and disseminated, so it is very important to be precise and exemplify scrutinous attention to detail. Product Controllers reconcile P&L (Profit & Loss) and the GL (General Ledger) every day, and tie out the reporting numbers/breakouts of the numerous Financial Reporting Systems utilized.
Responsibilities include: Business Analysis (Requirements Gathering, BRD, UAT) Project Management Obtain and Reconcile Data Fas 5 statistical reserve Implementation of a new FAS 5 statistical reserve calculator Help create system for data presentation and analysis for stakeholders Monitor and implement improvements to data integrity within the calculator Coordinate global Finance drive to understand the data within the calculator Close outstanding audit issues Fas 114 single name reserve Drive Finance side of the process re-engineering effort Coordinate with both Finance (global) and non Finance colleagues Research, identify and resolve Finance Product Processor issues Help coordinate current manual process Skills, Professional and Educational Required Strong BA ,PM and Problem Solving Skills Strong Understanding of Cost of Credit Solid Grasp of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and the Regulatory and Reporting Environments Expertise in Loan Products (Performing and Non-Performing) Product Control expertise or Product Processor system integration expertise Process Re-Engineering (Data Set) Ability to Work Autonomously and as Part of a Working Group (Compliment Existing SMEs) Flexibility Required: Eight-Plus Years of Experience in Loan Accounting and Related Systems Required BS in Finance or Accounting; Desired: MBA or CPA
