Executive Job Description	Rockwell Associates, LLC, careers@rockwellassociates.com Insurance Accountant The Global Insurance Group is seeking an Insurance Accounting Analyst for the development and implementation of a new product that will contain in-depth financial data on insurance companies on a global basis. This product will be used by internal and external analysts in research publications and for evaluation of insurers. Upon completion of this initial project (approximately 12 months) individual will transition to an analytic role in the insurance group, focusing on credit research and will be trained accordingly. Responsibilities; The accounting analyst will work with · insurance analysts, · data outsourcers/vendors, · Information Technology staff to develop the infrastructure of the financial metrics product. Key accounting analyst responsibilities; · create global chart of accounts (COA) · work with outsourcers and analysts · ensure proper and accurate data collection · map to the appropriate COA. Responsibilities of analytic role includes · assisting senior analytical staff in research and writing of company credit reports and special reports, · analysis of companies' financial statements and public disclosures, · analysis of quantitative/qualitative data, · monitoring of companies · travel and interaction with top level insurance executives at company meetings and investors/intermediaries Qualifications; · Accounting degree · 3-5 years of insurance accounting experience including US GAAP and statutory financial reporting required · IFRS a big plus · Strong quantitative, computer, and communication skills.
