Job Description Our client is seeking an IT Auditor Supervisor to Work with the Director/IT Manager to develop risk assessments for critical business processes and assume overall responsibility for the planning the development of audit scope and supervise fieldwork for less complex IT audit jobs. This role will monitor and evaluate the quality and content of work performed by audit team and have day-to-day responsibility of smaller IT audits. This position will assist IT Manager in establishing and monitoring compliance with Company, Audit Services, and professional standards for work performance and work ethics and prepare formal written reports, as requested, expressing opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls. Deliver oral or written presentations to Senior and line management. The IT Principal Auditor will serve as liaison/business partner to customers to understand their business and needs, and building and maintaining business relationships and conduct audit testing-review transactions, documents, records, and methods for accuracy and effectiveness; conduct interviews and observations and complete asset verification. Identify, communicate, and resolve any audit issues with management as they arise on the audit.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, Business or equivalent degree with eight or more years experience in an Accounting or Auditing position or related field Professional accreditation, e.g. CIA, CPA, CISA, CISSP.
Necessary technical competencies include: Business Process Risk Assessment Best Practices, Analysis and Improvement Good organizational and analytical skills and ability to prioritize multiple activities and requirements Advanced knowledge of operating systems (OS/390, UNIX, Windows) and computing environments (mainframe, client/server, internet, intranet and applications (PeopleSoft) Understanding of IT general controls including security, program change management, system development life cycle, computer operations, disaster recovery, business continuity PC Skills (experience in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and flow charting) Leadership experience including supervision of associates and coaching Able to obtain, analyze and appraise data Energy Industry Experience Proficient with generally accepted accounting principles and auditing requirements Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
