Executive Job Description | We are seeking a Hyperion Financial Management / HFM Accountant for our client for a long-term contact. The ideal candidate will perform various analysis and support and gather Hyperion HFM, DRM and HFR requirements and configure HFM applications as required to be used for deploying HFM, DRM and HFR changes in the Hyperion production environment. The qualified candidate needs to be willing to work outside of standard business hours for part of the month. That is, they may need to have them start later in the day so that they can be running processes in the late evening hours.
Responsibilities:
· Hyperion HFM application support: Provide test scripts for the end-user for training and provide production support for HFM, DRM, FDM, and reporting by validating source financial data against Hyperion data, including data account mapping to validate against legacy accounting system reports.
· Support the Accounting area with monthly consolidations, financial reporting development and ability to research and investigate data discrepancies, provide data validation reports and understand system processes.
· Support the HFM and planning end-users, and troubleshooting system error or inaccuracies in reporting data.
· Gather requirements and analysis from business logic into Hyperion business rules calculations in order to develop complex reports.
· Resolve Metadata and Data Validation issues, and perform complex debugging techniques to develop and test programs/applications.
· Training the users on Hyperion reporting.
· Upload Metadata and data into HFM, and change Metadata, Hierarchy, CALCS etc.
· Create and maintain new HFM applications, as needed
· Implement new changes to Metadata require synchronization and deployment of Prod Application(s), and push Stat Data via SmartView.
· Responsible for Monthly data uploads, and running Consolidations and Calculations.
· Run Blue Book and resolve issues as needed, and consolidate monthly ledger (if required, consolidate previous months).
· Change Reports POV e.g. current period/Current year and if requires add new accounts.
· On-going development, maintenance and data integrity for the Hyperion systems, including the establishing of Finance/IT processes to be compiled with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) Act and audit.
· Review, analyze, and implement changes, as needed, to Hyperion HFM, DRM, FDM and Planning change control procedures and processes.
· Provide a best practices approach for configuring and integrating Oracle EPM products.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Prior experience with E&P companies, Hyperion Essbase, Informatica or other ETL tools, relational engines ( Oracle, MS SQL server or similar repositories) and multi-dimensional databases (ROLAP, OLAP, MOLAP, OLAM), data warehouse, data modeling is desired.
· Having a functional understanding of Accounting, Finance, Consolidations and Planning & Budgeting, and strong analytical and complex problem solving skills.
· Prefer candidates with an understanding and experience with Hyperion Planning applications and business processes, as well as knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials and the Hyperion ODI interfaces with Oracle EBS.
