Executive Job Description | This is a highly visible management role with a top Boston area investment advisory organization. You will be assuming leadership of quarterly and annual external reporting and disclosure requirements. In addition to management of reporting responsibilities, the GAAP Accounting Manager has ongoing responsibility for evolving accounting policies and projects to ensure internal compliance.
The selected must have 3 to 5 years of management experience; be a CPA or be eligible to become certified; a MS / MBA is preferred, but less important to having several years of experience that includes both SEC reporting and GAAP investment accounting.
Prior management and team building is important as you will be initially responsible for a team of 4 analysts. Additional pluses include CFA or CMA certifications; experience within the securities industry; and knowledge of applicable regulatory practices.
