Executive Job Description | Finance Director – Americas
JohnsonDiversey is a leading global provider of commercial cleaning and hygiene products and solutions for food safety, food and beverage hygiene, floor care, housekeeping and room care, laundry, hand hygiene and industrial cleaning. Additionally, we offer a wide range of value-added services, including safety and application training, consulting, and hygiene auditing.
With sales into 170 countries, we serve institutional and industrial end-users such as food service providers, lodging establishments, food and beverage processing plants, building service contractors, retail outlets and health-care facilities. We provide products directly and through distributors.
The Finance Director is a leader on the Regional Finance team, responsible for reporting and analytics including Supply Chain Finance. This Director will interact closely with the Vice President Finance and President of the Region on all significant projects and will act as a key point of coordination between the North American and Latin American sub regions. There will be three managers reporting to this position.
This position will be domiciled at our Global Headquarters in Sturtevant, WI 53177 which is in easy commuting distance of the northern Chicago suburban area.
-Major responsibilities:
• Assist Executive Management with both monthly internal reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Lead development of annual financial plans and budgets and management reporting and analysis of financial results, trends, and Key Performance Indicators.
• Develop, monitor and interpret predictive metrics and insightful financial analysis to help drive business intelligence and decision making
• Analysis of new business opportunities supporting strategic and business planning processes including capital budget and forecasting.
• Develop and direct management financial reporting systems; ensure the efficient day to day operation of the Financial Planning and Analysis activities through the development and management of all internal financial reports, forecasts and budgets
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis along with financial presentations for Regional Leadership
• Maintain SOX process controls for FP&A and Supply Chain Finance and propose required changes in process controls.
• Plan, direct, supervise, review and set goals and objectives for staff.
• Special projects, as directed by the VP Finance and President.

-Minimum requirements:
- 10 years progressive experience in accounting, business development, finance and strategic planning including:
- core competencies in budgeting and reporting
- financial modeling and analysis
- capital budgeting
- strong familiarity with corporate accounting.
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership position, with a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence management and contributors at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build successful working relationships.
- A proactive leader and effective coach who is committed to the development and engagement of his/her direct team.
- Basic strategic understanding of “Business Intelligence" and what other companies are doing in the analytical landscape.
- High level understanding of process and technical functionality of Hyperion and selected applications.
- Ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced, matrixed environment with a sophisticated world-wide organizational structure.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to design and implement process with modest supervision or direction.
- Must be proactive and effective in identifying opportunities for improvement, providing value-add solutions and implementing change.
-Preferred requirements:
- Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management a plus
- Additional languages and/or significant international business experience strongly desired.
