Executive Job Description | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance Director is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting, internal control processes, and the oversight of the business unit finance and accounting functions for the division operations. This role will ensure the efficient and effective implementation of corporate initiatives, strategies, and overall financial reporting/planning to the overall corporate operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
„X Creating a finance function responsive to the needs of the business, including analysis of operations, profitability and a focus on EBITDA
„X Providing ¡§operational insight¡¨ into the business, allowing the executive team to better understand and manage the business.
„X Assist in the valuation and business strategy surrounding opportunities including new product/program launches, business valuations, rationalization initiatives and investments.
„X Taking charge of financial management, expenditure control, and working capital management.
„X Manage the financial planning and forecasting processes of the region to ensure appropriate short and long range plans are prepared to reflect the current and forecasted business environment.
„X Establishes and maintains financial reporting system with strong controls and standards to safeguard company assets and ensure financial reporting integrity
„X Providing comprehensive financial support to the subsidiaries, ensuring accurate, consistent and timely reporting of financial and management information consistent with Corporate, US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards
„X Ensuring compliance and implementation of financial policies and accounting standards
„X Overseeing and directing the monthly and quarterly close processes, which entail keeping strict deadlines, certifying financial statements and looking for continuous process improvement opportunities.
„X Work with the training organization to ensure the technical and professional skills/competencies exist to ensure necessary talent depth for internal replacements as necessary. Coach and counsel team to make hard but necessary decisions where critical skills are lacking.
„X Assure that all areas have up-to-date systems, procedures, policies and support to achieve accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis in order to meet the needs of the Company
„X Understanding of revenue chain and cash management processes to ensure compliance with all Treasury policies, processes and systems
„X Assisting with the coordination of the annual auditing process and required statutory compliance
„X Strong executive leadership skills, strong financial control orientation, proven ability to set priorities and a solid foundation for decision making and accountability
„X This position has a local team of 6 professionals, as well as regional controllers in the field.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
„X 12 plus years of progressive financial accounting and reporting experience; with more than five years experience in a management capacity
„X Experience working for multinational organizations is preferable. Comfortable working across borders and be culturally adaptable
„X Prior Controller experience
„X Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (cost experience is a plus)
„X Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
„X Knowledge of Oracle ERP solutions and Hyperion HFM applications a plus
EDUCATION
Degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business related field or MBA; CPA a plus but not required
