Executive Job Description | The Equipment Manager will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities Marketing equipment financing products within an assigned territory in the Chicago, IL and surrounding markets and will be based in Chicago, IL. The Equipment Manager will work with assigned Relationship Managers to identify equipment financing opportunities within the banks customer base. In addition, the candidate will develop direct financing relationships with non-bank clients whose annual revenues are between $20MM - $1B+. The chosen candidate will have a strong background in sales and experience in originating, qualifying and closing a variety of lease and loan financing products. Candidate will work cooperatively with internal staff to submit, credit approve, document and fund transactions ranging from $50M to $50MM+. The position carries an annual budget of $45+ Million.

Qualifications Bachelors Degree is required. 5+ years experience in successful equipment finance and leasing sales experience to middle market corporations, preferably with a bank-owned equipment finance company. Demonstrated experience in lease pricing, negotiation and closing transactions. Thorough understanding of credit issues including technical ability to analyze and interpret financial statements. Professional sales, negotiation and presentation skills with excellent verbal and written communications skills are required/ Knowledge of industry standard pricing platforms and understanding of tax and accounting guidelines relevant to the equipment finance industry is required. Thorough understanding of credit including technical ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and spreads is mandatory in this position. Local market knowledge and experience is required. Ability to interact professionally with bankers and their clients and prospects is required. Thorough understanding of all tax and non-tax equipment secured structures. Strong PC skills (including Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Outlook) are essential in this role. Experience using lease pricing software (InfoAnalysis); and ability to utilize HP12C and / or 17B calculators. Knowledge and understanding of tax, accounting, credit, legal and documentation issues in connection with equipment finance and leasing transactions is critical in this role. Ability to structure, price, negotiate and close transactions. General knowledge of various asset classes of capital equipment is essential in this role. |
