Executive Job Description	Title: Director of Federal Tax Consulting-CPA FIRM Location: Midtown NYC Pay Rate: 135k-175k Job Type: Full Time Description: CPA firm has an immediate need for a lead Tax Director to participate in the growth of the Federal Specialty Tax Services (FSTS) Group in New York. RESPONSIBILITIES • Subject matter specialist around FAS 109 • Technical leader for FSTS. • Provide day-to-day management of the FSTS Group consisting of 18 people. • Provide day-to-day management of accounts through delivering all tax consulting services to the client and bringing in specialists when necessary. • Oversee complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries • Participate in engagements requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates, FAS 109 calculations, Basis Calculations, Tax Attribute Preservation, and Earning and Profits calculations • Research and analyzing a wide range of tax issues such as tax implications of business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting for income taxes. Tax Modeling, Section 388 (h) (10) elections, Transaction cost review, Basis calculations, and due diligence reviews QUALIFICATIONS • Subject matter specialist – FAS109 • CPA • Prior leadership position and experience in management of staff required • Advanced Degree and Professional Certification desired • 7 to 10 year or more years of public accounting experience or equivalent in law firms or industry • Excellent communication, research and writing skills a must Best Regards Christina Flores Right&Above 15717661960 cf@rightandabove.com www.rightandabove.com
