Executive Job Description | Assistant Corporate Controller

• This position is responsible the supervision and preparation of SEC filings which include 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc. • Responsible for the reviews of earnings press releases and prepared remarks for earnings call as well as the preparation of monthly reporting to senior management, the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee. • Also, this position will be responsible for reviewing and summarizing technical accounting matters for compliance with US GAAP and researching the brunt of conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards. • Research of quarterly MD&A to be included in Forms 10-Q and/or 10-K. • Reviewing footnotes to the financial statements and related supporting documentation to footnotes. • Preparing financial statements in the form necessary for external financial reporting and related supporting documentation to the financial statements. • Analysis of general ledger accounts as assigned and the review of accounts reconciled by staff. • Researching the recently issued accounting pronouncements (GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards and SEC Regulations) and supporting the determination of impact to the company. • Support the quarterly and annual external reviews and audit performed by the Company's independent accountants. • Sustaining segments and individual business units with various technical accounting matters. Special projects as assigned. • Individual will work closely with Segments, Investor Relations, Treasury and General Accounting.
Qualifications:
• 7 to 11 years experience preferable “Big 4” Corporate SEC experience . • Thorough understanding of accounting standards generally accepted in the United States • CPA required • Complete understanding of SEC reporting requirements • Ability to exercise independent direction and judgment • High degree of problem solving ability and critical thinking • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with senior management
