Executive Job Description | The Instrumentation/Controls Engineer would join a highly visible Product Engineering team to provide the following:
Responsibilities
* Support to the product design team in specification, selection, and application of instrumentation and wiring systems for use on industrial pump and compressor skids to be located in hazardous areas.
* Generate or update standard template drawings to help streamline the design process and improve accuracy of electrical kit bill of material release to Procurement and Manufacturing.
* Ensure that instrumentation and associated skid wiring complies with all customer specifications and applicable codes in hazardous location areas.
* Significant written communication is required through design products and generation of other customer required literature.

Qualifications
BSEE is required.
5 years experience specifying, designing, and commissioning instrumentation systems for use in hazardous areas.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are essential in this position.
Experience with the following:
Design, specification and installation of instrumentation in hazardous areas.
Thorough knowledge of NEC NFPA 70, IEC 60079, IECEx and ATEX requirements
Wiring practices for both cable and conduit systems in hazardous areas
Autocad or similar design software
Logic diagrams, loop diagrams
Industrial motors up to 3000HP
Variable Frequency Drives
Process instrumentation
ISA Standards
