Executive Job Description | The Engineering Designer will be responsible for the design and drafting of mechanical components and assemblies for stationary and portable rotary screw air compressor packages along with pneumatic tools. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities * Create or alter BOM’s due to design changes, errors or special customer requirements. * Research old configurations and create special field kits (BOMs or drawings) to meet the needs of the customers which involves basic working knowledge of rotary power equipment and ability to research and compare the current vs the field designs. * Design and create parts and assemblies in Unigraphics CAD system; structural steel frames; sheet metal and plastic enclosures; castings; piping systems (tubes, hoses, valves, fittings; coolers, fans, tanks, motors, diesel engines * Multitask and plan/prioritize the workload in order to meet customer time constraints. * Drive technical issues to closure and respond to assigned action items. * Negotiate at times with customers, vendors and team members to reach a solution that meets the customer’s requirements. * Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and resolve design issues on existing field issues.

Qualifications Associates Degree in Engineering/Design related field (Mechanical or Electrical) is required. 2 to 4 yrs of experience in design of powered (with engine / motor) rotary equipment and fluent use of Unigraphics or equivalent 3D modeling CAD system is required. Experience with basic flow diagrams and Wiring diagrams. Exceptional team skills with ability to communicate up as well as across the organization. Fully developed professional able to work without direct guidance or direction from others. Work experience in the mechanical design of components for rotating or reciprocating machinery such as engines or compressors a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem solving skills are required. |
