Executive Job Description | TITLE: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MANUFACTURING
REPORTS TO: V.P. - OPERATIONS

They are a leader in design, development, and production of propulsion and warhead systems for tactical missiles for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, DARPA, and International Customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Executive Director of Manufacturing is a newly created position and is responsible for the effective manufacturing operations to support company-wide requirements that include delivery of quality product, on time, within budget, safely.. This position plans, directs, and controls manufacturing policies, programs, and systems associated with fabricating and building prototype through full rate production products for the California facility. This individual is responsible for developing production time, standards, manufacturing technology, safety, and the environmental and sustainability aspects of the manufacturing function.
•Manages the manufacturing processes for high quality, cost effective, timely, production output. •Ensures accurate forecasting of manpower, facilities, equipment, and tooling. •Oversees process management to ensure engineering resources are managing process changes through validations and successful implementation. •Manages financial performance with budget controls, variance management, capital management and asset management. •Develops and utilizes processes that promote continuous improvement using Total Quality Management principles, Six Sigma employee involvement and recognition. •Effectively communicates and measures performance to manage tactical issues and to ensure achievement of long term goals. •Manages inventory level, production time, and performance standards in keeping the organization’s goals. •Responsible for ensuring employee safety through continuous improvement. •Oversees and promotes employee opportunities for training, development, and professional growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
•A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related fields and more than fourteen (14) years of managing a successful manufacturing function. •Considerable knowledge of the industry processes, safety, and regulatory environment. •Effective organization, team orientation, and leadership skills. •Total Quality Management and Six Sigma Master Black Belt may be required. •Exceptional training capabilities. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop consensus and drive all organizations to achieve quality goals.
COMPENSATION: $180-200,000 + Bonus, great benefits, & paid relocation
