Executive Job Description	The Associate Engineering Designer will be responsible for the design and drafting of mechanical components and assemblies for rotary screw compressors. Responsibilities Design and detail precision machined components, gray iron castings and complex assemblies utilizing Unigraphics NX7 CAD software. Develop engineering documentation (component drawings, assembly drawings, instructions, technical specifications and engineering change orders). Create and maintain bills of material in JDE business system Support design requirements of manufacturing and assembly. Apply Continuous Improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis and Mistake Proofing to solve issues and improve product design. Candidate may be assigned action items relating to new product development and product improvement projects. Will be required to participate in cross-functional teams BEST INDUSTRY – Manufacturing BEST DEPARTMENT – Engineering Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. 2 - 4+ years of related experience is required. 3D CAD modeling (Unigraphics NX4 preferred) Previous experience in the design of mechanical components for rotating machinery such as engines or compressors. Experienced in specifying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) for precision machined components. Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem solving skills are required. Candidate must have exceptional team skills. Able to work without direct guidance or direction from others. Candidates must be either current US Citizens or Green Card holders.
