Executive Job Description | Straube Associates, a national boutique executive search firm, has been retained to recruit a Director of Operations, Western Region to be located in Orange County, CA. Our fast-paced client is a leading nationwide supplier of high precision bearings and bearing related products. The global customer base consists of leading blue chip OEM’s and the products are used in a variety of industries from aerospace to medical equipment. The forty-nine year old company has recently undergone a re-organization and is executing an exciting new strategy that will position them as a force in the industry for years to come. This is a high growth environment with excellent up-side! The Director of Operations, Western Region reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, who reports directly to the CEO. He/she will work closely with the Western Regional Sales Manager. He/she also will oversee seven (7) direct reports including inside sales, customer service, operational and warehouse personnel. In this highly visible position, you will be responsible for our Western Region operations while leading and managing all aspects of the inside sales and customer service department. Making all the “day to day” sales and operations-related decisions; including management communications to the sales department, training & development of inside sales reps, and monitoring & reporting on sales metrics and managing the operational and sales administration process. The ideal candidate will have A minimum of 10 years of experience in Operations and Sales Management. Bearings experience - selling into factory automation, medical instrumentation, material handling, electric motor and semiconductor industries - is strongly preferred. Prior supervisory/management experience is required and Facility Management experience would be considered a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management or equivalent. MBA a plus. The compensation package consists of a competitive base salary + performance bonus and will be commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits program.
