Executive Job Description
Job Title: Operations & Compliance Officer
Reports to: EVP, Global Operations & Compliance Officer
Location: Redwood City, California

SUMMARY
As the a operations officer, responsible for the Company’s regional day-to-day operating activities including accountability for customer support, risk and fraud, IT operations and other responsibilities as assigned. Includes expense and cost management, business planning, support in budget and contract negotiations and fiscal management of assigned responsibilities.
As the a Compliance Officer, serves as the focal point for all regional compliance activities. Plans, directs and monitors all aspects of the Company’s compliance program. Works closely with the senior staff to ensure adherence to the Company’s Compliance Program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Partner with the senior management team to provide short-term and long range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
2. Directs the Company’s regional operations and compliance activities to meet budget and financial goals.
3. Establish performance goals, allocate resources and direct execution of operating and compliance polices to support overall company policies and objectives.
4. Monitors and audits the compliance environment, conducts periodic risk assessments and implements remedial actions and strategies as appropriate.
5. Directs AML activities.
6. Oversee budget planning and cost management in alignment with the Company’s goals and objectives. Present budgets and operational metrics both internally and externally.
7. Participate in all merger and acquisition and partner development activities, including search, evaluation, negotiations, deal and financing structure, analysis and integration.
8. Coordinate all state, compliance and regulatory audit activities.
9. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and regulatory requirements.
10. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
11. Other duties as assigned.




ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Represent the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, and the general public as required.
2. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Broad knowledge and experience in diverse operating environments.
2. Experience in negotiating and contracting partner relationships, change management, budgeting, and cost control principles.
3. Knowledge of regional, federal and state regulatory requirements.
4. Ability to analyze operational and financial data and prepare reports, forecasts, and projections.
5. Highly accomplished operational professional with significant tenure in Fortune 1000 and pre-IPO companies in the hi-tech industry.
6. Successful prior experience of structuring, negotiating and concluding complex multi-jurisdictional commercial contracts.
7. Demonstrated accomplishments of improving operational efficiencies.

8. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

9. Background normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in management and ten years of experience in progressive-level operating positions.

11. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Prior work experience in the mobile / payments industry.
• Experience in managing institutional investor-relationships.
• Capable of supporting the business strategy in a significant way.
